STAUNTON & WAYNESBORO
FLY FISHING

Staunton offers the gateway to the best fishing waters of the Shenandoah Valley. Native brook trout, trophy brown, rainbow trout, and smallmouth and largemouth bass are all available within 15 minutes from downtown.

Waynesboro has become a destination for flyfishers throughout Virginia. Fish the special regulations water around town or head to the mountains for brook trout in Shenandoah National Park. Float Trips aren’t far away on the nearby Shenandoah and our private stocked waters are just minutes away.

PRIVATE WATER

We offer three options for private water fly fishing trips: a beginner-friendly pond for instruction and two stocked streams for almost three miles of pristine fly fishing right in town.

ANATHALLO ACRES

We have roughly 2 miles of private stream set on an idyllic farm. Rainbow trout in the 12-20” range are available. This location provides a great setting for a variety of casting and fishing techniques. Perfect for families and beginners. Groups  of up to 30 welcome.

LEWIS CREEK

This small spring creek offers a great place for beginners or a half day trip. Tight casting windows require accuracy and roll casts and is a great jumping off point for fishing many of the streams in the area. Great for beginners.

MOORE POND

Perfect for kids or beginners, our stocked pond offers a great opportunity for catching. Eager sunfish patrol the banks and largemouth bass cruise around looking for unsuspecting victims. The open field allows for ease of casting and is just minutes from downtown Staunton.

While we’ve yet to land a whale, floating the Middle offers unparalleled privacy, wildlife, and scenery.

SOUTH RIVER

Special regulations fly fishing only section surrounds Waynesboro on the South River and offers a great place to hone your skills. Great for beginners and intermediate anglers.
