Goose Creek Hollow in Middleburg; Catch a Trophy Rainbow
The deep pools and sold riffles at Goose Creek Hollow provide a top notch getaway for anglers with all levels of experience. The stream is teeming with 15"+ rainbow trout ready to take a properly presented fly. This beautiful farmland and almost 3/4 mile of private fly fishing water lies just 50 miles west of DC center in Virginia's horse country, and makes for a quick morning drive away from the city. Middle River Outfitters offers guided trips and instructional service. Our well trained and experienced guides are perfect for beginners wanting to learn and seasoned anglers alike. Virginia Gamebirds in Berryville; Hunt Upland Chukar, Pheasant, and Quail
Virginia Gamebirds offers thrilling opportunities to pursue quail, chukar, and pheasant hunting in scenic Berryville. The Virginia Gamebirds Private Preserve, located just 60 miles from Washington, D.C., is a prime destination for bird hunters of all levels. The preserve’s 250 acres of prime habitat, including open fields, wooded areas, and rolling hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains offer an ideal setting for an upland bird hunt. This family owned and operated hunting preserve specializes in raising their own game birds, providing quality hunting opportunities for lively, fresh birds.
Virginia Gamebirds provides guided hunts with well trained dogs, such as pointers and setters, ensuring a memorable hunting experience. The preserve offers flushes of hard-flying pheasant, chukar, and quail. It’s perfect for a full outdoor getaway. The hunting/fishing season overlaps from October through the end of November and March through April, making it a great destination for a fun, productive hunting trip and fishing trip all in one day.
$750 per person, limit of 4 total. Includes a half day of trout fishing, packed lunch, and half day of upland hunting. You will be provided either 6 pheasant, 8 chukar, or 12 quail. Additional birds can provided for an additional fee. You will need a valid Virginia hunting license for bird shooting. Grouse and woodcock hunts can also be arranged separately.
